You can affect your trees' autumn colors!

Updated: Oct 5

You may be shutting down your sprinklers too early. It is important to make sure your trees are still receiving hydration while the weather is still changing. The amount of moisture in your soil will have a direct effect on the vibrancy of your trees in the fall. Your tree will also need the hydration to store energy for their dormant season. Let's see some other items to address on your fall checklist.

Add some compost to your trees. Adding nutrients to your soil will help your trees prepare for dormancy and will give them a boost as they start to wake up in the spring.

Replenish the mulch around your trees. Protect your tree's roots from freezing weather by enforcing the barrier of mulch that will help regulate the temperature of the soil.

Prepare your trees. A thorough tree trimming will ensure any potentially hazardous limbs and branches are trimmed prior to our first snow fall.

Yard Clean up.  Getting rid of debris such as weeds, overgrowth from flower beds and fallen leaves will help prevent pests from making a home in your yard.

Lawn Maintenance. A last close cut of your lawn along with aeration and a layer of compost will ensure your lawn is provided with the nutrients it needs to encourage root growth as spring arrives.
